Need gas turned back on

I paid my gas bill after it was turned off and they tell me i got to wait 3days to restore service. Why? I need it on now I just paid 1200

You don't sound stupid! Things happen I've gotten behind I am cancer patient I let everything go.

I made payment arrangements with them. So I didn't get turned off.

So if there's a next time try that. And to have to wait 3 days that's a little crazy.

Calling the BBB is a sure fire way to be ignored and insulted. Do you not realize that they are run for and by businesses for their own benefit ?

They are not the Protector of the People or the Commerce Police. Nobody from the gas co, is going to call you ; you have made it clear that you are angry and contentious and they just don't pay people to listen to that.

I do not believe your "crippled widow" cover. You're an ordinary citizen frustrated by horrific inflation and rising prices.

You should be. It only took this administration 1-1/2 years to wreck just about everything. That must be some kind of a record. I don't remember Herbert Hoover personally but I sure do recall Jimmy Carter, Bill Clinton and Barack Obama whose terms of office encompassed the worst economies of our age.

And they always blame it on someone else - even the American people themselves. (Old ladies don't hope that anyone chokes)

Turn on gas

My gas is off and I paid the amount to turn it on. Now I'm trying to make an appointment to turn it on and they're closed foe holiday. I have a child and 3 cats here. I have asthma and it's cold which is activating my asthma.

"Automatic" systems automatically fail. May I suggest that you take control of your affairs and handle the expenses quickly and effectively.

The only way to do this is "seize the bull by the horns and face the situation". It may be a bit more bookeeping, but you'll do it right and avoid future issues.

No service no options.

Tenant left and I am trying to sell house. Did not realize Gad was turned off until while showing the house is colder inside then out. Call Nicor, no way to talk to a live person unless an emergency so I called emergency. Cannot help until offices open on Monday. Temperatures could drop and freeze pipes but they dont care. Its a switch to turn it on. They could take my credit card, but no. Wait until Monday. Being in the northern planes of the United States where at this time of the year its in the 20-30s. WHAT A COMPANY!!!!!

The service is terrible. There is no compassion only robots handling calls. Tried to chat, of course queue is full. Tried calling but they kept sending me to Spanish speaking. Terrible. That's how you can be when you have a corner on the market.

I got 2 e mails from Customer Service saying it will be taken care of. Then yesterday I got an e mail saying I should contact commercial credit.So I e mailed them yesterday and send the credit app on line again . I am hoping they will take proper action to take care of this. We are not a huge corporation to get stuck in commercial credit. Just a small Church. a small church .

Nicor Gas has the lousiest way of communication for customers. The phone number as given will not allow the contact of a human being customer service rep. All I wanted to do was set up an appointment for the inside meter reading that Nicor requested by letter several months ago. No contact; no appointment! Guess the request wasnt important after all. Billing payments

Your company needs to get off their collective butts, stop using Covid as a crutch to update your system, hire MORE people to take the calls and get the payment system updated to the 21st century where your call-in reps can take bill payments over the phone with telecheck & CREDIT/DEBIT CARDS!! Your Automated system does not allow for a payment to the account if there is NO balance; even though you have an account on a budget plan.

ComEd, AT&T, Verizon, Comcast etc... ALL have agents working from home & ALL agents can take both forms of payment since they're companies support them and are up to 21st Century technologies. Get your act together! This Lip Service about updating the system to give them the ability to take CC payments from home over the phone has been going on for over 9 months and it's about high time you fulfill your promise to them & YOUR PAYING CUSTOMERS!

BTW, Jennifer Gold has my phone number and she can call me Only between 6:30am-8am, 4p-4:45p Mon-Fri or after 11am on Sat or all day on Sunday. P.S.

No voice message, no return call. My number is a land line and I do Not have a cell phone.
