I am frustrated because your website that I have always used is giving errors and I was unable to pay my account number 219189****.
Also, the due date that was always 11th or 10th of the month was now lowered to the 7th and I was told I will pay interest charges.

Smelling gas in my apt.
I smelled gas but the service person didn't get anything on his meter, but both customers service was great and so was the tech they sent out

The bill pay website
, Every month trying to pay online off my iPad or iPhone, never loads right. It either takes forever, then times out or doesnt load at all.
I seriously waste at least an hour messing around with this garbage.
Funny I dont have this problem with any of the other utilities or cc payments. Also on your website where it says manage your account, it should also say pay your bill.
It's like they don't want my money
I'm trying to pay my bill but the website sucks *** Why is it 2024 and they still don't have an app.

The website is currently down. When I pay by phone it rejects my payments.
Illinois needs to offer a better natural gas alternative. This is ridiculous.

Verified Reviewer |I can't even get a person on the phone. My gas was shut off for 300 dollars and now I will be without gas for over a week. It's inhumane
I went without gas for 6 days after I paid the bill because they didn't have time to turn it on but I didn't need them to turn on a pilot light I had it all taken care of but I was without gas for 6 days
Can't get anyone on the phone to schedule an appointment to reconnect my service or pay my bill and now i have to wait a week before they can turn it back on. I have no rights

Mix up over bills from old house till new if you owe a balance on old house..make sure payments are credited to correct bill check your payments. I got a shut off notice even tho I've made payments each month! And now I can't get a human to sort out!!!

I had an appointment to get my meter read by a technician. At the time I received the text that he had arrived, he was not here/left.
Please call me at 312-723-****. I dont know why he left and didnt call or come to the door.

Like all utility companies, Nicor is definitely a scummy product that charges insane prices for delivery that have already paid off the cost to install gas lines decades ago, but besides all that, I can't even pay my own bill without having a huge monthly headache.
Their online payment system is complete garbage. My 11 year old nephew has a better payment service on his game website he made himself. I can't pay online, we can't recover our omline gas account, we can't create a new account to try to circumvent whatever the *** happened to our first one, which claims we don't exist. Their representatives don't care or probably aren't paid to care. I always need to wait for a full hour on their terrible phone service just to finally pay my bill. Not only do I pay insane prices, I struggle to even make the payments, and fear getting my gas cut off. (I have a 1 year old, so that is simply not an option)
Their phone service will hear any noise in your enviroment, think it's someone speaking, say "we do not recognize that input" and repeat a long *** list of options (of which the most common ones you'd expect a person to need are only listed last) and you can't just press the right button from memory, you need to WAIT until the robo service says the option.
Whatever old geezer running nicor should fall down a set of stairs, maybe their neoptisticly entered grandkids could atleast google a payment service option and "revolutionize" their abhorrent service.
Preferred solution: The ability to pay online like every other company in America

Ran my Thermostat at 80 degrees all last year, now I'm at 72 degrees and my bill has skyrocketed?
Okay, rates are up right?
But my usage has skyrocketed as well...really?
We've had a MILD winter and you goons are stating my USAGE is up, when my Thermostat is set 8 degrees lower than last year and it's been an extremely MILD Winter?
Sorry Nicor, you are scamming people across the state and these so-called consumer advocate groups must be taking kickbacks!

I got a bill from ComEd.Then,I realized that ,I have not gotten a bill, from Nicor.So,I called.Had a late fee.It was not all that much.Was okay with it.However,as you said,there was no live person.And the website is in my opinion worthless.Hopefully,my payment went through .It is impossible to be sure.They got to fix this stuff.
