I feel better now, because I was so Truthful & Honest putting my NICOR-STOP THIEF ! review into some well understood words.It is true that I typed the CEO is a *** , but thankfully as luck would have it, the program would not let me use a swear word.I am sorry that I ended up calling the CEO a frog instead.Sorry buddy : (

My Natural Gas Furnace does not heat my home in June, July, August and sometimes 2 additional months.
I always turn OFF the gas valve at my meter on the above dates because I am WATCHING NICOR THEFT ... of my money.
My bill last month for example states: USAGE CCF 0
THERMS 0.00
ACTUAL READINGS Current=6697 Previous=6697
I am charged TOTAL $25.23 for CCF 0
Included in my bill is: DELIVERY CHARGES $23.98
Monthly Customer Charge $23.32, Franchise Cost Adjustment $$0.19, Qualified Infrastructure Chrg $$0.27, Infrastructure Charge (again) $0.20,
TAXES (for 0 Product Delivered or consumed)
City Belvidere IL @5.15% (of nothing) $1.23
Utility Fund Tax @0.1% (of nothing used, consumed or delivered)
NICOR GAS is Like A Vacuum, NICOR SUCKS

Billing issue

Ed Account number changed because of confusion betweene my sons bill and mine. Change occurred in January. I have been writing checks against the old account number. Something happened in July and got a notice saying I was delinquent. What happened in July was my son moved. Billing is checking on the payments and where my checks went. Need to know the correct payment required after this investigation

I have called all day and. Cannot get ahold of anyone from Nicore gas I am trying to pay my gas bill and it seems impossible to pay the bill because I cannot get ahold of anyone from Nicore so this is my last attempt to contact you I guess your going to wait until my gas is turned off and then charge me a reconnection fee.

My gas bill nearly tripled as compared to 2021. Why did I just get a $326 bill in June when I don't EVEN use much gas? It's a monopoly and they are draining people dry. It's corrupt.

Bad Customer service

My entire winter bills were "Estimated", gas price were at 0.55 to 0.68 during the winter season. When they increased the gas price to 1.11 in May, the bill suddenly became "Actual". Not "Estimated" anymore! They claimed more than 200 reading differences accumulated from the winter season, but they charged this 200 reading differences at 1.11. I called customer service, as a result, they sent me an even ridicules bill! Can somebody tell me what to do with a company like this? I wish I can grade this company zero star.

"Estimated". Your problem summed up in a single word.

You are within your rights to insist upon an actual reading each month or are often permitted to read it yourself and submit the numbers. There will be at least one month per year when the meter is read and the account billed up to date. Usually you will have to pay, because "estimates" are often on the low side to prevent riots from people like yourself.

But the bill invariably comes due and must be paid. Same with "budget" plans ; there is a day of reckoning (usually in June).
